48″ Pull Type Sheepsfoot Packer – Single – Reuhl Experimental

This sheepsfoot packer is a part of the Reuhl Experimental line. Reuhl Products created a section of products known as the “Reuhl Experimental” line. This line of products revolves around the various prototypes made by the company. During the design process, Reuhl creates several models. Some of these models may be the same, others may differ substantially. The differences may include changes to paint, materials, hardware, jig work, or other potential changes.
With these experimental prototypes, many of them are retained within the company but the decision to sell some of these models to collectors was made to establish short production runs.

The Single Sheepsfoot Packer pictured is a part of the Reuhl Experimental line produced in 2022. Approximately 10 of these prototype models have been produced by Reuhl Products. These packers are a very heavy zinc cast construction painted in the traditional Caterpillar yellow of the 1950s. The Reuhl Experimental Single Sheepsfoot Packer consists of 12 zinc cast parts, 6 screws, and 8 other pieces of hardware. The packer mounts to the original D7 dozer by Reuhl and can be connected in tandem to increase the compaction on the construction site.
